Whiskers & Wags Gala is a Sellout

The 4th annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake and Friends of the Animals Spay/Neuter Clinic has sold every ticket.  Even though the event has moved to the Athens Country Club, which offers more seating, the tickets went quickly.

Those lucky enough to get tickets are in for a revolutionary evening on April 23rd.  This year’s gala will offer fabulous auction items AND door prizes that at other events usually qualify as auction offerings - such as a $500 gift certificate toward tires from Teague Chevrolet in Mabank, a one night stay at the Westin Stonebriar or at the Omni Dallas downtown, 4 passes to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and 3 passes to Whatz Up in Seven Points.  And there’s more, so much more that door prizes will be announced every twenty minutes.  All you need is to have a ticket and show up.

All this is possible because our local community has rallied behind our cause.  Individuals, organizations and businesses who have helped with sponsorships include The Gun Barrel City Economic Development Corporation, Cedar Creek Lake Parrot Head Club, Amber DiLane Homes, Tri County Ford, Workco Staffing Services, Republic Services of Texas, , Molly Maxwell/Kathy Crouch, Chicken Express, Animal Medical Clinic, Seven Points, Mabank Dental Clinic, Syler Animal Clinic, Mitchell’s Outdoor Living, Hobb’s Pest Control, Moseley Insurance, Sydney & Ed Busch, RMS US LLP, Basic Storage, MUD Technology, Lanette Ainsworth/Christy Holder, and Retreat Day Spa, Athens.

Both Friends of the Animals and The Humane Society of CCL are private, non-profit 501(c)3 organizations and depend solely on the generosity of individual and corporate supporters to fund their programs and services. All proceeds go directly to helping the animals.
