Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the http://www.kingscreekadventures.com/ fishing and lake report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 3.7' low and the water temps are in the low 50's. The clarity is slightly stained to very stained going south to north.
The Hybrids and sandies are beginning to show up in the creeks but the conditions are not great for a big run yet. Try searching in deep water with the deadsticking bite in 25' to 40' and you should find fish. You can also start fishing on mainlake points on the upper end of the lake with fresh shad (cut or whole) on the bottom in 3' to 10' of water and some fish should be present.
The catfish are biting good in shallow water on the north end of the lake. Fish 2' to 10' near points and windy shorlines with fresh cut bait and you will find some active fish. As for the south end stay with mainlake points and fish in 5' to 25' of water.
The crappie are moving into the shallows on the north end and can be caught on jigs and minnows around any available cover in 2' to 6' of water. You should start catching fish in the brushpiles on the lower lake in 8' to 20' of water and the fish should start moving shallower very soon.
Largemouth are already in the shallows on the north end and can be caught pitching jigs and plastics to shoreline cover in 1' to 6' of water. You can also catch fish on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. On the south end, focus on rocks and docks. Try the same baits but fish from 2' out to about 12' until you find the fish.
