Hello, Jason Barber here again with the kingscreekadventures.com fishing a lake report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 5.40' low and the water temps are in the high 60's to low 70's. The water clarity is slightly stained on the south end and stained on the north. The fish are starting to bite better and better as the water cools.
Crappie are in the brushpiles in 10 to 20' of water and can be caught on minnows and jigs. You will still find fish all over the bridges as well, fish about 10 to 12' down in all depths to find suspended fish near the pillars. You can find fish on a few deeper docks but there are very few to choose from.
Largemouth are good on all the docks with water on them and will hit spinners crankbaits and soft plastics. There are also fish along the rocks at the dam, spillway and around the bridges. You can also still find fish in brushpiles in 8 to 16' of water throwing a carolina rigged plastic or deeper diving crankbait. Topwaters are producing some nice fisH right now as well so don't leave them out.
Hybrids and sandies are feeding in 10 to 24' on points and humps near the mainlake. Try slabs, swimbaits and trolling to put them in the boat. I have not seen alot of surfacing lately but that don't mean you won't run into it so be prpeared.
Catfish are biting in shallow water on the north end and a little deeper on the south end. Try 6 to 15' on the north and 12 to 24' on the south end. Drifting and anchoring are both working and fresh cut shad and rough fish are good bait choices.
I hope these tips put a few more fish in the boat for you... Thanks for reading my report and remember to give me a call to book your next fishing trip. You can reach me at 903-887-7896 or on my cell 903-603-2047
