This past Thursday, October 8th, Cedar Creek country Club held their 20th annual Rally for the Cure Golf tournament. With this special tournament 100% of the proceeds go to helping fight back against breast cancer. The money raised will go towards helping fund research to find a cure, educate people about their options, and provide grants that give financial and emotional assistance to those whose lives have been impacted by this terrible disease.
This year Cedar Creek Country Club had 28 participants in their annual tournament and raised a bunchof money that will be donated to The Susan G. Komen Foundation. The tournament held is a four person scramble with two closest to the hole challenges on number 17. Each year Cedar Creek Country Club shows off pink flags and pink poles on every green in order to show support.
Each year that The Club has held this tournament they have had amazing volunteers step up and help pull everything together. Cedar Creek Country Club would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Jerry Shelton for all the hard work she has done in the past few years that have kept this tournament going! The Club would also like to thank Darrell Petty, Robbie Sutton, Randy Shelton, and many other volunteers for hard work they put in.
Congratulations to our big winners who received a hand carved trophy donated by Wood Worx in Gun Barrel City! We are looking forward to next year and for all of the amazing things to come in fighting off breast cancer!
