Mayor Laura Peace has visited both restaurants and recommends them.
“It is super exciting,” Peace said. “I appreciate our new owners investing in our town. I am sure they will find that Kemp is very supportive of local businesses.”
Peace said good things are happening in Kemp. The town again has a grocery store, Spring Market, and a new drive-through café called Little Mexico is about to open across from the grocery on Highway 274. It will serve breakfast and lunch.
“Every afternoon when I come home from work and I drive through town it’s just so full of life and is really exciting,” she said. “Families in the park, playing kids riding their bikes up and down the streets – it’s just a lot more activity than we are used to.”
