Cedar Creek Brewery celebrated its third anniversary with a party in its new location that includes a beer garden and a restaurant called Plowboys this month.
Brewery owner Jim Elliott launched the operation in 2012 just down the road from the new facility in Seven Points.
The brewery added food service at the new location because of the growing popularity of the beer garden. The beer garden and restaurant are open Thursday through Sunday, as is the restaurant.
The brewery's beers are now sold at several locations on Cedar Creek Lake, including Brookshire's, and they are also marketed in several other Texas cities, including Dallas.
The new location is the former site of a large skating rink, which later became a Country and Western venue. The 1983 movie "Tender Mercies" was shot in part in the building.
Elliott has said the success of the brewery is the realization of a long held dream of his.
