There will be lots for kids to do on Cedar Creek Lake for Halloween weekend that ends Monday night, Oct. 31.
The City of Tool kicks off the celebrations with its 8th Annual Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event is free for all children under the age of 12 years old. Enjoy train rides, inflatables, games, face painting, cake walk, hot dogs, candy and rock-climbing wall in the City Hall Parking Lot.
Gun Barrel City will host “Monster Mash Bash,” a city-sponsored dance, costume contest and Halloween egg hunt. It all takes place at Gun Barrel City Pavilion, Monday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in City Park. Age groups for the contest are six years and under, seven years to 13 years old and over 14 years old. The winners, a boy and girl from each category, will receive $50 for best costume. The music will be provided by Tuley's Karaoke.
Area churches in Malakoff will host the Community Fall Festival Monday, Oct. 31, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.. The family event will include hot dogs, snow cones, candy, bounce houses, truck or treat and games. Fun for all ages. No scary costumes will be allowed. It will be at the First Baptist Church in Malakoff, 220 W. Mitchum St.
The City of Eustace will host “Trunk or Treat, Monday night, Oct. 3, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the town square.
The City of Kemp will host “Trunk or Treat, Monday night, Oct. 31, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the town square.
Mabank businesses will continue the tradition of handing out candy at the Mabank Pavilion Monday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
