Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at normal pool and the water temperature is in the high 60's to low 70's with the water clarity stained to muddy heading north.
The crappie are in the shallows in the creeks and spawning coves as well as on deeper docks. Jigs and minnows are both good choices for bait.
Large mouth are in the shallows as well and can be caught on buzzbait, spinner baits and soft plastics are all good.
Catfish can be caught shallow throughout the lake on points and retaining walls on fresh shad fished on bottom.
Hybrids and sandbass are on mainlake points and shorelines as well.as.in the creeks, small jigs, swim baits and slabs are good baits.
