Hey folks, Jason Barber here with the www.Kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar Creek Lake. The water level is at normal pool and the temperature is fluctuating from the high 40' to the low 50's and the water clarity is stained to muddy heading north.
The catfish are on the deep mainlake flats in 18 to 40' of water and can be caught drifting or anchored with fresh cut bait. You can also find some fish in 3 to 10' of water on the north end of the lake near the mouths of the creeks .
Crappie are moving out to deeper water as well, stay in 20 to 40' near points and humps in the main lake and try jigs and Minnows. Any brush or cover will always hold fish if you can find it.
Hybrids and Sandies are on mainlake structure as well and should be targeted in 30 to 50' of water using live bait or shad imitations vertically below the boat 5 to 15' up off the bottom. Drift or anchor in areas where schools of bait are present, make some noise to attract fish to the boat.
The large mouth are still holding on docks and rocks in 2 to 20' or on points and humps in 10 to 30'. Jigs and spinners around the docks and rocks and drop shots and shaky heads as well as football jigs are good for the off shore stuff.
Thanks for reading my report and please let me know if you want to book a trip.
