Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar creek lake. The lake is pretty much full and the water temperature is running mid to high 70's with the water clarity slightly stained to stained.
The crappie are on fire around any brush you find in 12 to 20' and also around the deeper docks and under the bridges. Jigs and minnows are both great baits it just depends on what you like.
The catfish are shallow early but move quickly to the main lake humps when the bite slows down. Fresh shad has been the best bait as of late.
Large mouth are moving deeper but can still be found shallow early around rock, weeds and retaining walls on top water or crankbaits. Try docks and deeper brush later in the day with jigs, plastic or crankbaits.
The hybrids and sand bass are good on the humps and points in 10 to 20' on slabs, swimbaits or crankbaits...
Thanks for reading my report and please give me a call anytime...
