Hey folks , JasonBarber here with the www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar Creek Lake . the lake level is at about 2' low and the water temperature is hovering in the low 70's . the clarity ranges from slightly stained to stained heading north .
The crappie are very active under the deepest docks and the bridges as well as around any brush you can find in 10 to 24'. jigs and minnows are both good choices for bait .
Large mouth can be caught on top water baits early and late as well as crank baits and plastics around all shoreline cover including docks , rocks and brush. there are also some fish hanging around offshore brush near humps and points, Carolina rigs and deep cranks are good choices for these locations .
The catfish are scattered throughout the lake with most fish still holding deeper, drifting is a great way to find fish and fresh shad or cut bait is best. Some fish are starting to get shallow so mix it up a little bit and you could find them anywhere .
Hybrids and sandbass are on the feed and are holding on mainlake points and humps in 10 to 20' near drop off edges . Slabs, swim baits and trolling baits are all good choices for bait.
Thanks for reading this report and keep me in mind for your next guided fishing trip .
