Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the www.Kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar Creek Lake. The water level is approaching 3' low and the water temperature is in the 70's. The water clarity is slightly stained to stained heading north.
The catfish are good on mainlake points and humps in 14 to 30' of water and you can also catch fish shallow on the north end of the lake in 3 to 16' of water.
Crappie are moving into shallower water and can be caught on Minnows and jigs around the bridges and brushpiles in 8 to 24' of water and shallower on docks in 6 to 15'.
The large mouth are still holding on docks and also around rocks and can be caught on plastics and cranks from 1 to 6' around any visible cover. Jigs are always good for a bigger bite so don't rule them out. Try topwaters early and late near the shore throughout the lake.
The Hybrids and Sandies are schooling early and late near the dam and mid lake humps and can be caught on various baits from slabs and swim baits bounced along the bottom to live bait in 9 to 24' of water. Trolling Wil still get you bit as well so if it gets tough give it a try.
Thanks as always for reading this report and I hope to hear from you soon. Let's go fishing! 903-603-2047
