During the Month of March, Community Food Pantry in Tool gave their clients a tomato plant, trowel, stake and soil enhancer. They were excited for the opportunity to watch their small plant grown into a bush loaded with red, juicy tomatoes.
Chloe, Allison and Courtney volunteered at the pantry during their spring break to help pass out these plants.
The pantry is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 12:30 on the campus of Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool.
They offer client choice which allows the participants to push their cart and shop for the foods that their family will eat.
