As a new business, we are often asked how we have managed to stay in business in one of the worst economic environments most baby boomers have ever experienced. And the answer is always the same. We focus on serving our customers who love lake life. We are niche, narrow and hyper-focused our our core customer and do not try to hide our own personal passion and preference for life at the lake.
Upon moving to Texas from Idaho in 2003 we were shocked at the number of lakes within a 2-Hour drive from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. And equally surprised by the seemingly lack of retailers who targeted and served this appealing market. Lakehouse Outfitters was born in the fields of First Monday Trade Days, in Canton and has survived thanks to our customers who have responded to our perception that there was indeed a need for a niche retailer serving lake loving customers.
Our store, Lakehouse Outfitters located in Log Cabin, has evolved over the past two seasons and this year we feel we are hitting our stride and presenting a comprehensive product mix that mirrors our belief that most people enjoy the freedom of decorating their lake house much differently than their primary residence. Customers relish the opportunity to be creative when selecting unique or sometimes seemingly random pieces to create an eclectic, casual, livable home at the lake where friends and family can gather to create memories like no other.
The lake house is just like home, only better.
Great places to shop around the lake:
