As part of the Henderson County Master Gardeners' Summer Series, Carolyn Tyler will be presenting "Preserving the Harvest" on Thursday, June 27, at 6:00 pm at the Senior Citizens Center, 3344 TX Hwy 31, Athens. This will be a hands-on public participation presentation that will cover food preparation, making freezer jam, and tips for canning. Carolyn is our our County Extension Agent for Family and Community Health. RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Water lightly stained; 80–84 degrees, 0.85’ high. Black bass are good on deep diving crankbaits, squarebill crankbaits and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters.
