Cedar Creek Lake

Because Life is Better at the Lake

Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for March 9, 2017

Kings Creek Adventures
I started my career as a professional Bass fisherman in 2000 and claimed my 1st B.A.S.S. victory on the famous Sam Rayburn reservoir in 2002 and finished 3rd place in my first B.A.S.S. Tour event in Florida in 2002. I am currently a full-time fishing guide and offer my services on Cedar Creek Lake and surrounding lakes.

Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the www.Kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar creek lake. The lake is at full pool and the water temperature is in the mid to upper 50's, the clarity ranges from stained to very stained and the fish are biting.

Catfish are good on fresh shad fished on bottom near the mouth of all the creeks that have been running. The upper end of the lake is best but all the flats near creek mouths are good. Focus on 2 to 6' of water for best results.

Hybrids and sandies are best 2 to 10' deep around mainlake and secondary points near major creeks or up the creeks where they spawn. Shad or artificial baits are good.

Crappie are really turning back on and moving shallow with fish already spawning and more on the way. There are fish being caught on the bank and on brushy docks daily so start looking at your favorite shallow spots.

Large mouth are best around shallow cover and around shallow docks back in the creeks. Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, plastics, squarebills and jigs will all produce.

Thanks as always for reading my report and I hope to hear from some of you soon...
