Gun Barrel City band to perform at Dallas club benefit for Hurricane Harvey recovery effort

Yellow No. 5 Band will perform at Dallas’ House of Blues Saturday, Sept 2, 2017, at 7 p.m.

The free concert is a benefit for survivors of Hurricane Harvey in Southeast Texas. Donations will be taken for the recovery effort.

Donations can be made in cash or goods such as blankets, toiletries, non-perishable food and water.

Yellow No. 5 is a Gun Barrel City band that has played at Houston’s House of Blues also. Its style is described as “organic funk.”

House of Blues in Dallas is at 2200 N. Lamar St.

Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report from TPWD (May 27)

GOOD. Water stained; 75 degrees, 0.07 high. Largemouth bass are good working plastic frogs, and topwater early then TX rigged craws, crankbaits, and swimbaits along bank edges, drop-offs, and docks in 6-18’. Hybrids and sand bass are off main lake points and humps with slabs, swimbaits, and live bait. Crappie are excellent with jigs and minnows in brush piles and near structure in 12-18’. Catfish are good in 5-15’.
