Cedar Creek Lake

Because Life is Better at the Lake

Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for August 2 , 2017

Kings Creek Adventures
I started my career as a professional Bass fisherman in 2000 and claimed my 1st B.A.S.S. victory on the famous Sam Rayburn reservoir in 2002 and finished 3rd place in my first B.A.S.S. Tour event in Florida in 2002. I am currently a full-time fishing guide and offer my services on Cedar Creek Lake and surrounding lakes.

Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for cedar creek lake. The lake is just below full and slightly stained with the water temps in the mid 80's to low 90's.

Catfish are good on humps in 12 to 24' near dropoffs on bottom early, fresh shad has been best. Also try floating a bait 2 to 6' or more while drifting over deep water, it's a good way to get bit on some days.

The crappie are still good on brushpiles and on some of the deepest docks as well as on the bridges, minnows and jigs will work.

Large mouth bass are on docks as well as on offshore areas, the bite can be tough but stick with it and when You find them it's worth it... Try shaky heads on docks as well as crank baits and go to bigger jigs and worms as well as deep crankbaits for the offshore stuff.

Sandies and hybrids are on points and humps in the mainlake areas close to deep water... I try slabs, spoons and swimbaits for the most part but always keep a big topwater handy for making long casts to surfacing fish. Concentrate on the the 10 to 30' range and constantly watch the graph for bait and fish.
