Because Life is Better at the Lake

Hooked on Veterans White Bass Fishing Tournament

My name is Nicole Sprabary. I am a mom, first and foremost and raise my daughters in the Cedar Creek Lake community. I am a transplant from just Northwest of the Lake and look forward to spending the rest of my life here. I am a freelance writer and blogger, wanting to speak truth and greatness into our community in hopes of creating a ripple of good throughout our small lake towns.

The Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation held their first Annual White Bass Fishing tournament today dubbed “Hooked on Veterans.”

The original date of the tournament was set for May 18th of this year but was rained out, reset for today and ended up perfect weather for a day on Cedar Creek Lake.

Several auction items included a web design package, lots of fishing gear and 7 free and discounted guided fishing trips!

Today’s fishing tournament gained attention from adults and kiddos as the kids out fished the adults according to a post made by the CCVF! Great turn out and attention brought to Cedar Creek Lake and the foundation doing good stuff for the local and extended East Texas Veterans.

The next event brought to you will be the 14th annual “Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake” where many military planes will show their might, flying near the Pinnacle Club on July 6th.

Pictures are from the CCVF FB page and more information can be found for this event and more on
