Red Hot 18 Golf Tournament to roll around

The Annual Red Hot ‘18’ Golf Tournament will tee off at Cedar Creek
Country Club on July 31.

Traditionally among the “hottest” activities during the summer at Cedar Creek Lake, you can
always count on a repeat of the annual Red Hot ‘18’ Golf Tournament, hosted by the Cedar
Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. For many years, the summer fundraising event has
been held on the last Monday of July, rotating among member golf courses in the area. This
year’s tournament will be on July 31 at Cedar Creek Country Club.

The tournament is a four (4) person scramble, with gross/net prizes. Check-in is 7:45 a.m., with a
shot-gun start at 8:30 a.m. There are some exciting changes this year, including “all-in” pricing
for players and cash prizes.

$100 per player (early bird registration) or $125 per player the day of includes a light breakfast,
18 holes of golf, cart, practice balls, access to driving range & practice green, 2 mulligans each,
lunch, goody bags, “Buy a Spot”, and new this year, Golf Pong Game. Price per team is $400
(early bird) and $425 the day of.

Featured events for the day will include Hole in One Contest, sponsored by Tri-County Ford, the
Dixon Par 5 Challenge, sponsored by Dixon Golf, new Golf Pong Game and “Buy a Spot”.
In keeping with the tournament date and the median temperature in East Texas in summer, the
descriptive name of Red Hot “18" Golf Tournament is appropriate, but the tournament has
become a highly anticipated event.

The popular chamber of commerce fundraiser always proves to be a success, offering good advertising value for sponsors, fun and networking for the players.

There are sponsorships available for as little as $100 for a Hole Sponsorship and new this year
are sponsor levels that include a team. Another new sponsor opportunity is the Breakfast Sponsor
for $300. This advertising opportunity is not reserved for chamber members only and interested
businesses can contact the chamber office for a complete list of sponsor opportunities.
