GUN BARREL CITY -- Actor Ron Lester who is best known for his roles in films such as "Varsity Blues" and "Not Another Teen," will be a special guest at Gun Barrel City's July Fest celebration on July 6. Lester is also known for losing a tremendous amount of weight going from 508 pounds to 190 pounds. He lost the weight after undergoing duodenal switch surgery. Lester, who also worked as a stand-up comedian in Los Angeles, has appeared in about a dozen movies and television shows, including "Popular" and "The Fat Boy Chronicles." He began his career as an extra in a commercial in Atlanta. Lester joins previously annonced talent Kevin Fowler and Vanilla Ice at the annual July 4 celebration in Gun Barrel City Park.
