The annual Cedar Creek Lake Festival of the Arts will take place in Historic Downtown Mabank Saturday, May 17, 2014, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free of charge to the public and boasts “something for everyone”.
The 2013 Festival of the Arts featured approximately 50 vendors, and this year’s event is expected to be as large, with interest and participation from returning artists, as well as new ones, Cedar Creek Lake Chamber of Commerce President Jo Ann Hanstrom said.
"There’ll be no shortage of a variety of offerings from paintings to beautifully crafted wood items, handcrafted jewelry, clothing, pottery, children’s items, metal art and a large array of art from various mediums," she said.
Special presentations include young dancers from The Dance Connection and face-painters.
The festival is a family event, Hanstrom said. Visitors can expect to enjoy great art, crafts, and food vendors to meet most everyone’s taste buds, she said.
There is still time to reserve a vendor booth, Hanstrom noted. Booth space, without electricity, is $40 for the day. Sellers will be asked to provide their own tents and furnishings. No “garage sale” type merchandise will be allowed.
Proceeds benefit the Mabank Chapter of The Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
