The Venue gears up for grand opening, gets liquor license

GUN BARREL CITY -- The Venue, a new intimate concert hall operated by Cedar Creek Lake entertainer Dino Perelli, will host its grand opening April 6. August & J-Sand Dollar Rodeo will perform at the grand opening. The concert hall recently obtained its liquor license from the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission so the audience will be able to sip favorite drinks while enjoying the show. Perelli opened the facility, which includes a music equipment showroom and recording studio in February. Drinks will be served only during concert hall performances. It is at the corner of Highways 334 and 198. The showroom offers new and used instruments, rentals and a 24-track recording studio to record a demo or a whole album. Upcoming performances include Inner City All Stars with comedian Tony Stone April 13, The Illcaminos - Hat Track the 80's April 20 and Zydeco Stingrays May 4. Tickets for the grand opening are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m., and showtime is at 8 p.m. Tickets can be bought online. See http://tvtxus.wix.com/the-venue for information about ticket prices and showtimes for upcoming events. Also visit www.GBCMusic.com for information about the facility or call 903-713-1111.
