Jason Barber here with the kingscreekadventures.com weekly fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake is 3.15' low and the water temps are in the high 50's to low 60's. The carity is a little more stained due to high winds but not too bad. Crappie are good on the bridges and in brushpiles in 8 to 16' of water. Some deeper docks are holding fish as well. Minnows are good and jigs will work very well on some days. Try different colors and depths until you find the fish. The sandies are excellent in 10 o 15' of water on slabs. Focus on mainlake humps and major points and stay close to a dropoff. The fish will move in and out so keep hunting around and you can stay on them. Various colors will work just keep your bait close to bottom for the most part. Cafish can be caught two ways. Try drifting in depths from 6 to 20' with cut shad, shrimp and prepared baits. Change depths every drift until you get bit. You can also anchor on humps, points and windy shorelines for good results with the same baits. Larger fish are also being caught on live goldfish and bream. Largemouth can be found around the docks and rocks. Try jigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits under and around any cover in 2 to 6'. You can also expect some topwater action early and all day on cloudy days. Buzzbaits are best but other baits will produce strikes as well.
