Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for 11/08/2011

I started my career as a professional Bass fisherman in 2000 and claimed my 1st B.A.S.S. victory on the famous Sam Rayburn reservoir in 2002 and finished 3rd place in my first B.A.S.S. Tour event in Florida in 2002. I am currently a full-time fishing guide and offer my services on Cedar Creek Lake and surrounding lakes.
The lake level is at -7.64 and stained. The temps are in the mid 60's and falling with fishing very good due to lack of fishing pressure as well as fish being more confined.
The crappie are holding in brush from 6' to 20' try jigs and minnows. Largemouth are on any shoreline cover such as docks, brush, rock or any other debris in the 1' to 5ft depths. Buzzbaits, shallow cranks, spinnerbaits and flipping will all work on certain days.
Catfish are really turning on with the cooler temps. The shallow water bite is good with cut shad anchored in areas from 3 to 8 ft. Drifting will also produce in 10 to 20ft with cut shad as well.
Sandies and hybrids are stacking on mainlake humps and feeding on shad. Try rat-l-traps, slabs and other shad immitations in 6 to 20ft of water.
