Jason Barber here with the weekly kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The water level is at 3.15' low and the temps are in the high 60's. The clarity is stained to very stained heading north.
The crappie are still spawning all over the lake. You can find fish all the way in the back of the coves in 1 to 4' of water and you can also catch fish on bridges and mainlake rocks in 2 to 12' of water. Some docks are holding good fish as well near mainlake and secondary points. Minnows and jigs are best.
Largemouth can be caught on rocks near the mainlake and back in the coves in 1 to 6' on plastics, crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Topwaters are still producing some nice fish too. The shad are spawning at daylight so get out early for the best action.
Catfish are feeding heavy in shallow windblown areas early and late and can be caught on a variety of baits but nothing beats fresh shad. Fish on the bottom in 1 to 5 ' focusing on main-lake points and retaining walls. you can also do good with a float rig up against the rocks and walls. fish 1-2'.
Hybrids and sandies are going good as well, try the same areas the catfish are holding early and late and move out to 6 to 12' during the day. Try shad on bottom early and sassy shads, swimbaits, slabs and topwaters as well.
