Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for August 28, 2012

Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the weekly kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake is 2.39' low and the water temps are in the mid 80's. The clarity is still slightly stained. The bass are holding on mainlake docks and rocks as well as offshore structure like humps ridges and points. For the dock fish, try flipping tx. rigged soft plastics in, under and around the shaded areas of the dock. Also drag a medium diving crankbait in front of or along the sides of the docks keeping the bait close to the dock. for the offshore stuff stay with the carolina rig or the deep crankbaits as well as a football jig and search for brush in 8 to 20' of water. The hybrid and sandies are on mainlake humps and will hit live shad, slabs and swimbaits as well as crankbaits trolled in 14 to 24' of water. Use you graph and stay near the dropoffs. Catfish can be caught at a variety of depths but the best bite is deep during the day 16 to 24' and shallower at night 5 to 12'. Cut shad, shrimp, and live bait are good. The crappie are still holding on the bridges as well as brushpiles in 15 to 20' of water, several jig colors are working and as always minnows will catch fish too. Thanks and good fishing!
