Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for June 6, 2013

Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the weekly kingscreekadventures.com/ fishing report for Cedar creek lake. The water level is at 3.73' low and falling and the temps are in the high 70's to low 80's. The clarity is slightly stained to stained. Crappie are moving out to deeper water after a lengthy spawn . You will find fish from 10 ft. all the way out to 20+ ft. of water. Bridges, rocks, and brushpiles are the best targets right now along with a few of the deeper docks on the lake. Jigs in various colors will work and minnows are good as well. While around the bridges and rocks try the bream and sunfish bite as well, it's great. Worms and crickets are best in 2 to 12'. Largemouth can be found around any of the deeper mainlake docks as well as around mainlake rocks, humps, points and brushpiles. Shaky heads, c-rigs, tx. rigs and crankbaits are all good producers. Try topwaters near mainlake points early and late. Catfish can be caught very well near the mainlake humps in 12 to 24' of water on fresh shad and shrimp. Anchor close to the drops on these humps and points and you will find them on most days. Try downsizing your hook and bait a little as most of the fish will be in the 1-3 pound range. Hybrids and sandies are stacked on mainlake humps and points. Stay in water 14 to 24' and throw slabs in various colors. You can also try swimbaits and sassy shad type baits bounced along the bottom in these areas to get a few extra hybrid bites. When out early and late have a topwater ready for any schooling activity. THANKS AS ALWAYS AND PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME WITH QUESTIONS OR TO BOOK A FISHING TRIP TO REMEMBER
