Cedar Creek Lake fishing report for February 1, 2013




Hello folks, Jason Barber here with the weekly kingscreekadventures.com/ fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 2.83 low and the water temps are in the mid 40's. The water is stained to very stained. Crappie are starting to move in on the north end of the lake and catches are being reported in creeks and marinas in 4 to 6' of water on jigs and minnows. There are also fish in 10 to 30' on the lower end of the lake. Catfish are good drifting in 15 to 35' on the south end and anchoring on the north end in 2 to 10'. Cut shad an other fresh cut rough fish are best but shrimp and worms are good too. Largemouth are good around docks and rocks on jigs and spinners on the north end and rat-l-traps are good to add to your arsenal the further south you go. Some fish can be caught deeper on the south end on c-rigs and drop shots as well as shaky heads.fish brushpiles, points and rocks in 8 to 24'. The hybrids and sandies are ready to go up the creeks but most are still deep in 20 to 40' water. Try soft plastics and swimbaits fished extremely slow directly over the fish. Use your graph to find bait and fish and fish the area. some fish are being caught shallow on the north end on windy bans with shad, crawfish and minnows fished in2 to 10,.
