Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the weekly kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 3.0 ft. low and the water temps are in the 50's. The clarity is stained to muddy heading north,
The catfish are biting good with fish being caught in all depths. You can drift in depths of 10 to 40' or you can fish as shallow as 2' on the north end of the lake anchoring around shallow windy points and shorlines. Stay with fresh shad, cutbait, worms and shrimp for best results.
Crappie are being caught around brushy docks on the north end of the lake in 3 to 10' of water on jigs and minnows. You can find fish in 8 to 24' on the south end of the lake near bridges and brushpiles on the same baits.
The white bass and hybrids are starting to move shallower but there are still deep fish available. Try swimbaits 2 to 3" long and small plastic shad immitations deadstiked on 1/4 to 1 oz. jigheads in 20 to 40'. Some fish are being caught shallower on shad fished on bottom as well as shallow diving and lipless crankbaits near windblown points.
Largemouth are still around docks and brushpiles but more fish are showing up in the spawning coves in the upper lake areas. You can also find fish relating to rock throughout the lake. fish jigs, spinners, shallow cranks and rat-ltraps in 2 to 10' of water.
