Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the weekly kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake is 2.9 low and the temps are in the high 70's. The lake is still slightly stained but good overall.
The catfish are biting in shallower water lets say the 10 to 16 ft. range during the day and even shallower at night. Shad, shrimp and live bait are all good.
Crappie can be caught on the bridges and in brushpiles as well as around some of the deepest docks with brush. Minnows are best but jigs are catching as well.
As for largemouth stay with the docks. Crankbaits and soft plastics will produce some strikes but don't rule out the topwater early and late with the cooling temps. Brushpiles in 8 to 20 ft. are holding some fish as well, try jigs, c-rigs and deep crankbaits.
Hybrids and sandies are still on mainlake humps and points and can be caught on slabs and swimbaits as well as trolling in 10 to 20ft. The night bite should be kicked off too. Try rat-l-traps and swimbaits as well as small jigs in the dock lights for some great action.
