Hi fishin' fans... Jason Barber here with the weekly www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 0.69' low and in the low 80's. The clarity is stained slightly but pretty good overall. Let's start with crappie... Try brushpiles in 15' to 25' of water and fish super slow. Minnows are best but jigs will work as well. The bridges are also holding crappie in roughly the same depths.
The Largemouth are on the boatdocks throughout the lake and can be caught on plastics on any rig in 3 to 10' of water. Crankbaits are very effective as well fished parallel to the fronts and sides of the docks. Finnesse baits like a wacky, dropshot or shakyhead are good too. Try topwater baits early the move on to the other baits after.
Hybrids and sandies are locked on the mainlake humps and points. Look for schooling fish early and then back out to deeper water once the sun gets up. Try slabs, spoons and swimbaits near the bottom in 14' to 30' of water. Live bait works well on these deeper fish as well. Shad, small perch and minnows wiil produce fish for you.
For catfish, stay with these mainlake areas and focus your efforts in the 16' to 25' range and bait with shad shrimp or live bait for best results. Early and late you will find some fish shallower but most day time activity will be off the sides of the humps and points and your electronics should show you fish activity in these areas.
