Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for 1/12/2012

Hey folks, Jason Barber here with the weekly www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The recent rainfall has brought the lake back to 6.33 ft. low, lots better than 8ft.!! The water is stained to muddy and in the 50 degree range. The catfish are biting great with the best catches coming in 3 to 8 ft. of water on the north end and 16 to 25ft on the south end. Cut shad is the bait of choice but shrimp or worms will also work. The crappie are best from mid-lake south in 18 to 30 ft. of water around brush or stumps. You can catch them on jigs tipped with Berkley power nibbles and minnows are working as well. The Sandies and hybrids are good on main-lake humps try slabs and deadsticking plastics like flukes and assasins in 18 to 30 ft. As for Largemouth try fishing jigs and Rat-l-Traps as well as spinners in water 2 to 6 ft near any cover availible. On the south end of the lake try going deeper and fishing c-rigs and jigs in 12 to 24 ft. around main-lake humps and points. Remember I am at the bait shop at Big Chief Landing when I'm not guiding on the lake so stop in and see me for your bait and tackle needs. Thanks! Contact me at 903-603-2047
