Hey guys and gals, Jason Barber here with the weekly fishing report for Cedar creek lake. The lake is basically 7.5 ft low and temps are in the mid to low 50's.
Crappie are good on minnows and jigs on mainlake brush in 10 to 20 ft and around the rip-rap at the dam and spillway. Bass are holding to any cover available in 2 to 10 ft of water. Spinnerbaits, jigs and rat-l-traps are good baits to throw.
Catfish can be caught in water 2 to 12 ft on the upper end of the lake drifting and anchoring using cut shad, shrimp and worms and drifting the mainlake in 12 to 30 ft on the south end.
For hybrids and sandies stay south and main-lake in 15 to 30ft. Watch for birds and also watch the graph for bait and fish. Use sassy shads, swimbaits and slabs for best results.
Stop by and see us at the baitshop at Big chief landing for bait and fishing tips. The bait and tackle shop is now called Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle...
Thanks and good fishing!! Jason Barber
