Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for 2/8/2012

Hello, Jason Barber here with the weekly fishing reoport for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 4.33 low and is stained to muddy. The temps are in the high 40's to low 50's and fish are on the move. The largemouth are moving into secondary staging areas near spawning areas. Things to try are spinnerbaits, jigs and shallow cranks under and around docks from the mouth to halfway back in spawning areas. Crappie are starting to move shallower on the north end of the lake with catches in 3 to 6 ft. recently. The sandies and hybrids are near points and creek channels as they are ready for the next rise in the creeks for their annual creek run. They can still be found deep on the south end of the lake. Catfish are shallow on the upper end and 16 to 30 ft. on the south end. Cut shad and nightcrawlers have been best. We are launching boats at the Big chief ramp so come see us at the baitshop! Thanks, Jason Barber
