Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for May 22, 2012

Hey folks, Jason Barber here with this weeks www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing report for Cedar Creek Lake. The water is falling slightly with the level being 0.26 from normal pool and temps are in the high 70's. The clarity is pretty good on the south end and stained on the north. Hybrids are schooling on the south end early and late and sandbass are right there with them. Look for humps and points from mid lake south in 10 to 20ft and have swimbaits , spoons and topwaters ready. Get near a spot you can fish but keep an eye on the horizon for schooling fish and go to them when you see them. When the fish go down target them with a slab in any color on bottom. The crappie are on the bridges as well as stacked under some of the deeper docks on the lake. Brushpiles in 12 to 20 ft have been good also. Jigs and minnows are good on the bridges and bruspiles but mostly jigs around and under the boatdocks. Largemouth can be caught on docks near the mouths of small spawning creeks. Try topwaters early and late and tx-rigged plastics, crankbaits and c-rigs for mid-day action. Bluescat are good on shad and shrimp drifted or anchored in 12 to 22 ft of water near mainlake humps. Channel cat are good on liver and punchbait near rocks in 3 to 6ft. Thanks guys and gals for reading and please come see us at Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle at Big Cheif Landing. We are booking guided fishing trips 7 days a week and catching a ton of fish. Get in on the action while it's hot!!! Got Bait?? 903.887.7482
