CedarCreekLake.com has added a new feature called "What to Do" on the promotional website to help keep residents and visitors informed of dining and other entertainment venues on the lake. Website publisher Cassidy Lackey said that the questions he typically received from visitors who booked vacation rentals sparked the idea for the new feature. "What to Do" will make it easier for residents and visitors to connect with lake businesses, he said. "Across all our vacation rentals we book thousands of nights each year," Lackey said. "Many times these visitors are asking me what to do around the lake - where to eat, where to rent a boat, visit a spa, catch a movie, etc. With this new what to do around the lake directory, we will proactively send visitors and weekenders a list of unique restaurants and entertainment options so they can schedule it while they are planning their trip." The website is currently offering a directory listing with a picture, map, description and contact information for the business for $25 per month. The feature will eventually allow advertisers to post daily and weekly specials and calendar events. "This will keep visitors and weekenders updated on what is happening around the lake," Lackey said. "Ultimately, I expect this to become the official calendar of all things happening at the lake." Lackey noted that CedarCreekLake.com gets about 20,000 visits per month, and that most of them come from people who live outside of the area in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio and in areas surrounding those urban areas. "This is a great opportunity to get in front of visitors and weekenders as they are planning their trips," Lackey said.
