CedarCreekLake.com Reaches over 320,000 Unique Visitors in 2015




Since our launch in 2009, CedarCreekLake.com has become the #1 online destination for Cedar Creek Lake visitors, weekenders and residents. In 2015 CedarCreekLake.com experienced another record-breaking year with over 321,000 unique visitors and 2.2 million page views, up over 28% from 2014. CedarCreekLake.com has received over 9.6 million page views from nearly 1 million unique visitors since January 2009.

Heavy Rainfall Generated Record Traffic
When the rainfall began in the spring of 2015 visitors and residents turned to CedarCreekLake.com to monitor the water levels and weather reports. During the 2nd week of March 2015, the heavy rains generated a single week traffic record with over 16,000 unique visitors. It is no surprise that the lake water level page became one of the fastest growing pages in 2015 with a 35% traffic increase over 2014.

More Real Estate Searchers = More Inquiries
The real estate section of CedarCreekLake.com also experienced significant growth in 2015 as potential real estate buyers turned to CedarCreekLake.com for real estate information. Visitors to the real estate section of the site increased over 90% from 2014 to 2015. CedarCreekLake.com also generated over 1700 email inquiries for real estate and vacation rental listings in 2015.

Now Users Visiting Site Directly
As CedarCreekLake.com continues to gain popularity more users are simply skipping Google search and visiting CedarCreekLake.com directly. The number of direct acquisitions of users increased 63% from 2014 to 2015. This is a great indication that users realize they can come directly to CedarCreekLake.com for all the lake information they need.

Mobile is over 50% of Traffic
When we launched the site in 2009 less than 1% of the visitors originated on mobile devices. With proliferation of smartphones and tablets the traffic has changed dramatically in the past few years. In 2015 smartphone traffic was up 36% over 2014 with smartphones and tablets now accounting for 58% of the traffic to CedarCreekLake.com.

Ongoing Innovation
We are constantly innovating and investing in the technology platform for CedarCreekLake.com. In 2015 we launched a new, mobile-friendly version of our Cedar Creek Lake Weekender email newsletter that reaches nearly 5,000 fans. We also implemented NOAA weather alerts that are posted to CedarCreekLake.com as well as the Cedar Creek Lake twitter feed.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 24)

EXCELLENT. Slightly stained; 70 degrees; 0.40 feet above pool. Hybrid striped bass and white bass have made a full recovery from the spawn and are now back in the main lake in droves and are on a feeding frenzy. Look for heavy bird activity throughout the lake on flats and near the dam on edges of drop offs especially on cloudy and overcast days. The Hybrids and Whitebass have started schooling in water from 6-14 feet at the dam and any wind blown shallow point or seawall. Late evening schooling action is also happening in shallow coves and points throughout the lake. Reports of great catches using silver or white slabs and spinnerbaits and retrieving off the bottom at a very slow retrieve to catch these fish in depths of 8-16 feet of water. The crappie have also migrated back into the main lake. Look for them under bridge pylons or under docks where the depths are between 3-10 feet.
