Voters in the Cedar Creek Lake area counties of Henderson and Kaufman followed the national trend, helping elect Donald J. Trump over Hillary R. Clinton.
Both counties reported seeing the largest voter turnouts for a presidential election ever.
In Henderson County, Trump won 22,120 to 5,115 for Clinton.
In Kaufman County, Trump won 29,537 to 10,265 for Clinton.
Henderson County last voted for a Democratic President in 1992 when voters favored Bill Clinton over George Bush.
Kaufman County last voted for a Democratic President in 1980 when Jimmy Carter took more votes than Ronald Reagan locally.
In the March GOP Primary local voters favored Texan Ted Cruz over Trump.
