CEDAR CREEK LAKE, TX - Showings of residential properties at Cedar Creek Lake were up 21.6% in March. There were an estimated 1,727 showings last month - up from 1,420 in February. However, unlike the first two months of this year, prospective buyers are not confining their searches to under $200,000. While that entry-level market remained strong at 27%, the mid-range properties priced from $200,000 to $450,000 dominated with more than 65% of all showings.
Of course, the lake being full takes most of the credit for the interest early-on this year, but don't discount the increased activity we're seeing from investors looking for a good place to put their money coupled with the continued availability of low-interest loans for the foreseeable future.
Cedar Creek Lake has always been a favorite weekend getaway among northcentral Texans, but it's status as the Number 2 Lake in the nation for real estate activity (Source: Lakehouse.com) is drawing the attention of many people from other parts of the state, as well as outside of Texas.
