The Henderson County Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors is celebrating the arrival of spring with a golf tournament and a casino bus trip. The group's annual golf tournament will be held at Kings Creek Country Club on April 26. A steak dinner and an awards ceremony will top off the tournament. The tournament will feature cash prizes and hole prizes. Ticket prices are $60 per player before April 20, and $65 per player at the event. (UPDATE: WCR officials advised that the golf tournament was cancelled due to an apparent lack of interest in it by both participants and sponsors.) After the tournament on May 11, the group will sponsor a casino bus trip to Boomtown, Bossier City, Louisiana. The bus will leave Mabank at 8 a.m. and return there at 9 p.m. The cost for WCR members is $10 and for others it is $20. The ticket includes the roundtrip bus ride, a $10 play voucher and lunch. Snacks and beverages will also be provided on the bus. Contact Sue Hosach at 903-887-7055 to make a reservation for the casino bus trip.
