The buzz about Ranch House Restaurant & Club touts it as the premier dining experience on Cedar Creek Lake, and that must be the case judging from the strong business it is doing. The Ranch House has been around for at least a couple of decades, but it re-opened in January after extensive remodeling that coincided with a revamping of the menu. It now is known as an upscale steak house and a seafood restaurant, and the seafood is as good as the steaks. In addition to all of the traditional beef cuts like Prime Rib, Ribeye, and New York Strip, there are creations such as Tuna Alexas with shrimp and crabmeat sauce, Salmon Jeanette with seafood and spinach sauce and Tilapia Bianca topped with mushroom and spinach cream sauce. The steaks can also be served with the toppings, and the fare includes Fried Shrimp and Fried Catfish and Monterey Chicken and Grilled Chicken Breast. The side dishes are also tasty creations, including Green Beans Almondine, Herb Roasted Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus with Bleu Cheese Sauce.
