Long Cove is inviting Cedar Creek Lake residents and their guests to view a fireworks show July 2.
"The best views are from the water so grab your family and friends, get on your boat a drop an anchor on the southeast corner of Cedar Creek Lake for a night to celeberate our community, country and freedom with those you love most," representatives of Long Cove said in an announcement of the event.
The fireworks show will begin just after sunset on Saturday night. Long Cove asks that all boaters abide by standard safety measures, including the use of life jackets, boating licenses and standard speed regulations.
Long Cove is a private luxury lake home community east of Malakoff. It was created by successful Dallas real estate investor and developer Don McNamara, who created City Place and West Village.
McNamara, who spent 10 years developing Long Cove on 1,100 acres of land with 6.5 miles of shoreline, has owned a family home on Cedar Creek Lake for 20 years.
Long Cove features hardwood forests and pristine meadows in addition to beautiful lakeside homes.
