Cedar Creek Lake Business Spotlight: Straydog Shelter & Sanctuary

Straydog Shelter & Sanctuary provides adoptions for stray dogs in the Greater DFW and Northeast Texas area. The shelter was founded by Pat & Bill Arnold over 25 years ago. Currently, Juana Arnold is Shelter Director of the facility which is home to over 160 pups. The mission and vision of Straydog is grounded in their love for animals. The staff, with guidance from the board, is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs who have been mistreated, neglected and abandoned. The no-kill shelter and sanctuary is located in Eustace, Texas.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Oct. 20)

EXCELLENT. Water lightly stained; 72-75 degrees; 1.18 feet low. Largemouth bass are excellent biting on shad patterned crankbaits and shaky heads in the backs of the creeks and main lake brush piles. Sand bass main lake humps using silver slabs. Crappie are excellent in brush piles in 8-18 feet of water using minnows and jigs. Catfish and hybrid stripers are good over humps with cut or live shad.
