Exploring the Next Exit

For those coming in from the Metroplex, try throwing a twist in your weekend getaway to Cedar Creek Lake by taking the next exit. You may be tempted to enter through the first "Gateway" by exiting off of HWY 175 through the City of Kemp and coming down through Seven Points. While that's always a good choice, there's another "Gateway" and if you keep those tires rolling for another 10 miles, you may be enticed to park it all and take a stroll before hitting the waters.

Nestled on the East side of the lake, lies the quaint  town of Mabank, full of little gems that will spark your families' interest any time of year.

So, you did it. You listened to the rambler pressing you to skip your exit. Now what? Now......

You hit up Market Street!!!

Goodness, I cannot tell you everything in one setting about this amazing little street. This place makes me so happy. From antiques, vintage treasures, beauty shops and the BEST chicken salad I've ever tasted, to fun street music, boutiques, dancing and wine. Market street brings the horse and carriage atmosphere back with a modern meander.

Chances are, you will find something you can't live without and you might end up driving home with something strapped to the top of the car. It's that cool. Or you may find something and have to strap the kids to the top. Even cooler. Ha! All jokes aside, be prepared to loosen the reins and embrace the unique charm of this truly, 'The Best Little Market Street'.
