Organized by East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF), East Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour day of giving that provides critical funding for our area nonprofits. The purpose of an area-wide Giving Day is to bring the region together on one day and as one community, raising money and awareness for East Texas nonprofits.
Currently, Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch is raising funds to complete Phase Three of our new Primate Habitat. This innovative design for the primate facility will give Black Beauty's current macaques, capuchins and future monkey residents, rescued from the exotic pet trade and research labs, a richer life in new expansive habitats. These new yards will better satisfy their physical, social and psychological needs. By raising the bar, we will give our primates like Nanette & Gabby, two of our rhesus macaques retired from research, a home where they can run free in the woods, hide behind trees, climb high and live out their days in a more native environment. This facility will also serve as a model for other sanctuaries. There is a naming opportunity for the primate habitat. Once completed, the entire habitat could house between 50-100 monkeys.
Funding needed = $506,000.00
Will you help us complete this new primate habitat for our current primates, and for future rescues?
