Have you ever thought about extending your growing season into the fall? The public is invited to meet Master Gardeners from the Henderson County Master Gardener Association (HCMGA) and County Extension Agent Spencer Perkins at the Clint W. Murchison Memorial Library, 121 S. Prairieville, Athens, on Tuesday, August 20, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. This event is part of HCMGA's "Learn at the Library" series and will include a panel discussion on Fall Gardening. The panel will share their expertise on planting a fall garden and answer your questions. They will also have information about the Master Gardener program and how those who are interested can become a Master Gardener. Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report from TPWD (Nov. 13)

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 61–64 degrees, 2.05’ low. Unchanged outside of water temps. Largemouth bass are good on spinnerbaits, Carolina rigged creature baits, plastic worms, and buzz baits towards the north 198 & 175 flats, along with the Caney Creek flats on the southeast end of the lake. Hybrid stripers are good with Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are good on pink and white jigs around larger docks and the flats on the northern end. Catfish are good on cut shad and stinkbait 5 feet or deeper. Use live bait with trotlines.
