Cedar Creek Lake Fishing Report for 12-26-13

Hi folks, Jason Barber here with the www.kingscreekadventures.com fishing and lake report for Cedar Creek Lake. The lake level is at 3.71' low and rising and the water temps are in the 40's. The clarity is very stained on the north end and stained on the south end. The Hybrids and Sandbass are in deep water, stay 25 to 40' deep and look for fish and bait on your electronics. When you find them, try to anchor on them or drift if there is little wind. Use plastic shad immitations on a 1/4 to 3/4 oz jighead and put your bait 3-10' up off bottom and hold it as still as possible. The bites will be pretty soft and you have to set the hook immediately. The big bluecats are going good as well, try fishing shallow on the north end in 2 to 8' of water and 20 to 40' on the south end. Fresh cut shad, drum, carp or bream are all good baits. Anchor up on the north end and fish on the bottom and you can drift the south end for best results. The largemouth are slow but they will bite if you work at it. Try rocks and docks with jigs, Rat-L-Traps, suspending jerkbaits and spinnerbaits fished very slow. Crappie are tough but you can find some fish near deep brushpiles and under the bridges as well as in front of the dam. Fish different depths studying your graph until you find them. Don't be affraid to get out in 30 or 40' of water near the dam. Give me a call if you would like to get on some big cats or lots of Hybrids and Sandies, they are biting very good right now!
