Rigging for Big Catfish …
Three-way crane swivel, a short leader, 8-10 inches which reduces time hung up. Use a clip so you can change sinkers easily. Leaders, 8-10 inches, 85 lb test braid line, 8/0 to 10/0 "J' hooks depending on the size of the bait being used.

Night fishing ... sinker slide .... requires no retying to put on a different sinker.

Fishing bottom of a river or lake ...
8/0 hook, three or four beads, then a sliding 8 oz. egg sinker ... really good when you want bait to drop straight down.

This 51 lb. Blue Catfish was caught this past week from Cedar Creek Lake. Bait was live Gizzard Shad...GREAT CATCH!
