Weather Predictions Show a Freeze Soon

It has gotten very cold the last few days, leading many of us to scramble to find sweaters, jackets and heavier clothing to keep warm each morning.

Tonight, it is projected that we will get to 33, which is very close to the freezing point.

Getting ready, especially on such short notice, can be bothersome to many. Prepping the pipes, prepping the animals/plants outside and just the overall change that come with the change that happens each year.

As we all head out tonight for the yearly Halloween festivities, remember the elderly and the kiddos are the most vulnerable, needing the most attention.

According to plantmaps.com, we are in Zone 11 and usually get our first freeze between November 11 and November 21 but current weather predictions shows we just might get that a bit early. The trusty farmer’s almanac shows November 7 as our first freeze date so only time will tell when the super cold will actually come.

Until then, stay warm and bundled, watch for ice on the roads when the conditions present themselves and get ready for more Cedar Creek Lake, Texas weather that is sometimes unpredictable.
